To Jim
By Mrs. Alice Desmond, O.P.
There is a place where angels sing
With lyre and harp
Singing, let us awake the dawn.
Awake my soul, play lyre and harp
the song of my yearning for you.
I come to this place, broken with the
the agony of loving you
and never seeing you.
Le t the angels song guide me the haunting
Melody of the harp
The soft sound of the lyre.
In the shadow of the angel wings
I take refuge
In this place let me drink the waters
So that I might quench my thirst
Till the storm pass
Till I see you again
Till I embrace you again
My heart is ready,
with the lyre and harp
I will awake the dawn.
